This Swedish Hair Metal Rock Band, yes they do exist in 2019, carries the Rock and Roll torch with pride. One of the last standing bands of the New Wave of Swedish Sleaze, these guys don’t take themselves too seriously and that is half the fun. With a band name this cool, they have to be Rock and Roll. And, they most definitely are.

Celebrating the life of Delores O’Riordan who died one year ago The Cranberries released a new single, “All Over Now” ahead of a full album release in April. Before her death, Delores had completed eleven demo songs that will become part of the record to be called fittingly, In The End.

Song of the Day: Mercury Rev (feat. Lucinda Williams) – Ode To Billie Joe

On February 8th Mercury Rev will release The Delta Sweete Revisited a song for song tribute to Bobbie Gentry’s 1968 release. Each song will feature a different female singer to include Hope Sandoval, Margo Price and Susanne Sundfor. Of course, you can’t release a Bobbie Gentry tribute record without including the iconic “Ode To Billie Joe.” The version that ends the record here is a brooding atmospheric beauty with Lucinda Williams playing the lead role.
