Blood Red Shoes is a Rock duo consisting of Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell. Recorded in LA with producer Nick Launey (Yeah Yeah Yeah, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave), a little bit Psychedelic, there seems to be a different spirit that envelopes each individual song on their new release, Get Tragic.

Video of the Day: Love Stallion – Big Rock Radio
Denver’s own Love Stallion is the best 80’s Glam inspired band you are going to find this side of the Roxy. Time stopped in 1982 for this band and that’s never a bad thing. Check out their 2018 release Unforgettable ride.
Video of the Day: Crazy Lixx – Wild Child
This Swedish Hair Metal Rock Band, yes they do exist in 2019, carries the Rock and Roll torch with pride. One of the last standing bands of the New Wave of Swedish Sleaze, these guys don’t take themselves too seriously and that is half the fun. With a band name this cool, they have to be Rock and Roll. And, they most definitely are.
Video of the Day: DeWolff – Double Crossing Man
Another stellar Rock and Roll video from the three-headed Rock and Roll band from The Netherlands.
Song of the Day: The Cranberries – All Over Now
Celebrating the life of Delores O’Riordan who died one year ago The Cranberries released a new single, “All Over Now” ahead of a full album release in April. Before her death, Delores had completed eleven demo songs that will become part of the record to be called fittingly, In The End.
Video of the Day: Jay Buchanan – Feel Better
The Rival Sons are one of our favorite Rock and Roll Bands and lead singer Jay Buchanan is our favorite front man. Here is, just Jay and his guitar.
Song of the Day: Mercury Rev (feat. Lucinda Williams) – Ode To Billie Joe
On February 8th Mercury Rev will release The Delta Sweete Revisited a song for song tribute to Bobbie Gentry’s 1968 release. Each song will feature a different female singer to include Hope Sandoval, Margo Price and Susanne Sundfor. Of course, you can’t release a Bobbie Gentry tribute record without including the iconic “Ode To Billie Joe.” The version that ends the record here is a brooding atmospheric beauty with Lucinda Williams playing the lead role.
Song of the Day: Jenny Lewis – Red Bull and Hennessy
Big fans of Jenny Lewis, the new record On The Line is set to come out on March 22nd. The album features appearances from a star studded cast and frequent Lewis collaborators Beck, Ringo Starr, Benmont Tench, and Ryan Adams.
Live Video of the Day: Mavis Staples – Love and Trust
Her live album scheduled for a February release is set to be a scorching Soul masterpiece. Mavis Staples is a National treasure.
Video of the Day: Sloucher – Up And Down
Sloucher is slowly making a name for themselves on the festival circuit. With a sound that is a bit like My Morning Jacket meets Big Star, the future is just around the corner. The latest record, Be True, is a winner.
