First of all, dissociate your brain from any preconceived notion about what this band should sound like given the funky cartoon band sounding name of the group. You would be wrong. These guys are cool. The vibe is sort of The Replacements mixed with Elvis Costello, pretty cool actually.
He latest record, Plays Well With Others, is a subtle and often brilliant effort. As the album title would indicate the record includes collaborations with John Paul White, Rodney Crowell, Shovels & Rope, Nicole Atkins, and more. This is a grower of a record in the best of senses.
