Video of the Day: Trucker Diablo – Other Side of the City
Rockers Trucker Diablo have already stormed the U.K. with their somewhat 80’s brand of AOR Rock and now they have their amps set on U.S. domination with this single in advance of their upcoming record.
Live Video of the Day: Bishop Gunn – Devil is a Woman (Paste Studios)
Bishop Gunn takes as their influences The Allman Brothers, Rival Sons, The Black Crowes, and a slew of other Blues Rockers that you love. Pay attention, these guys are going to be big in 2019.
Live Video of the Day: The Struts (feat. Tom Morello) – Dancing In The Dark
Tom Morello Joins Luke Spiller and the boys for a fiery rendition of the Bruce Springsteen classic.
Video of the Day: The Underground Saints – White Noise
Rock is the New Roll is officially on The Underground Saints band wagon. Their business model is a unique one, releasing a song a month in advance of a proper record to be released in 2019. Their vibe is Classic Rock with tinges of Black Crowes and 80’s Glam all rolled into one. They are on the short list of the best find of 2019. Thanks to Dean Delray and his Let There Be Talk Podcast for getting us hip to the Underground Saints scene!
Video of the Day: Joyous Wolf – Mississippi Queen
With enthusiastic fervor we wait for the first Joyous Wolf record to be released. Not quite The Struts, but this this band with the front man that is a cross between David Lee Roth and James Brown has favorite new band potential written all over it.
Video of the Day: Snakerattlers – Ooga Booga
Another band you have The White Stripes to thank for even existing. This husband and wife two-piece from York, England produces raw, erratic bursts of power. Part crazy Tiki Band, part Eric Von Zipper Surf Rock, these guys dare you to see them live.
Live Video of the Day: Blues Pills – Lady In Gold
We haven’t heard much new music from Erin Larsson and her 60’s vibing Blues Rock band, but here’s hoping this live performance means they will Be in the studio very soon.
Video of the Day: Blue Nation – Gone
A solid Rock and Roll band from Birmingham, England. Much in the Mold of Bad Company and Humble Pie, their sound is also similar to Rival Sons and Vintage Trouble of more recent acts.
Rock is the New Roll: Electric Radio Kings – Back To Black
Las Vegas based Electric Radio Kings are Paul Christiana on vocals with a Jim Morrison meets Scott Weiland vibe, Stacey Blades and Keith Horne on guitars, Johnny Rude on drums and Del Cheetah from Chris Angel’s band on bass guitar. Much in the Stone Temple Pilots/Cheap Trick mold Electric Radio has just enough frills to grab your attention, but stop just short of going over the top. With a recent endorsement from the one and only Alice Cooper we are ready for a full length L.P., boys! Here, they deliver a stunningly stellar version of the Amy Wine Winehouse song “Back to Black.”
