The vibe here is a totally entrancing one of Indie Appalachian Pop. If there is no such genre, there is now. The new record is called Old Rockhounds Never Die, and it is a slow burner stunner of a record. Multiple listens will reward the listener with the discovery of a new favorite artist.

The new album The Divine and Dirty has received high praise and should be on a lot of end of the year best of lists on the Blues-Rock charts. One of the UK’s finest Rock Band has a sound that is full of dirty riffs, scorching guitar sol’s, and monster hooks. Everything that is good about Rock and Roll.

Video of the Day: The Rock*A* Teens – Turn and Smile
First of all, dissociate your brain from any preconceived notion about what this band should sound like given the funky cartoon band sounding name of the group. You would be wrong. These guys are cool. The vibe is sort of The Replacements mixed with Elvis Costello, pretty cool actually.

He latest record, Plays Well With Others, is a subtle and often brilliant effort. As the album title would indicate the record includes collaborations with John Paul White, Rodney Crowell, Shovels & Rope, Nicole Atkins, and more. This is a grower of a record in the best of senses.

The latest from the Retro Glam band The Struts. Everything about this song is cool!
